I also feel the same as mentioned. I think that for first time watch buyers or the more general non WIS (yet) community (which is a large one for Montblanc as a market), their new Heritage Spirit and Heritage Chronometrie series will sell well still

I was at an AD recently in the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore with probably the best shopper and tourist traffic and the sales rep told me that the Heritage Spirit range launched from 2014 have been selling very well (not just the time only but even the moonphase and perpetual calendar). I guess that is why Montblanc went that way. The Heritage Chrononetrie range will likely see the same sales success.

Agree though that if MB can add some of their own design DNA into these 2 ranges that will be great! They did this with the Heritage Chronometrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph to some extent with a base Nicolas Rieussec movement and their patented ExoTourbillon. That I think it's a good example of infusing the Montblanc DNA (Nicolas Rieussec and ExoTourbillon) into the Heritage Chronometrie range.
