I recently stumbled onto this piece from the past. Its aesthetics as a basic dress watch really impressed me, but reading a bit about it revealed that it was not appreciated much at all. Admittedly, Montblanc watches and movements have developed a lot since then, even to the point of impressing the most critical of collectors. Nonetheless, it seems there’s an opportunity for an updated version of the thin dress watch in the current offerings. There is something to be said about “simple” elegance which many appreciate from other brands.
Do any of you have experience with this Classique and any impressions to share?
