Should I wait until next year.

First of all, as you will all see from the content of my post, I am an amateur, so please bear with me. A couple of days ago I fell in love with the SS Rieussec GMT, and when I got home and started to surf for info I was lucky enough to find this place, and Michael & Antony's excellent review. THANKS! I've been reading up as much as I can regarding the Rieussec and there is no doubt in my mind that, God willing, I will soon be the proud owner of one. But, how soon? I would really appreciate some feed back regarding whether or not it is a good idea to wait until next year's collection is unveiled, basically for two reasons: 1. Maybe another affordable caliber is presented. As far as I understand up to this date we have the the MBR100, MBR110, MBR120 and MBR200, of which the 200 is by far the most affordable, and imho the most beautiful. 2. From what I understand, since its lauch the Rieussec has been perfected each year, i.e. manufacturing faults have been corrected and improved. Could waiting another year mean that I would possibly get a piece that has been further perfected, i.e. has a better finish? I would really appreciate any and all advice. Thanks in advance.

Ditto what Mike said above. For me, if I'm eyeing a particular watch, it's very difficult for me to hold off on the purchase if my budget can accomodate that purchase. So I would just go ahead and buy the Rieussec which you have your eye on. Plus, SIHH 20...

Timing is everything. Time is the singular most important thing in the world. It is the universal aspect that bonds all of us together. That being said, nobody can really tell you whether or not you should wait or not. But I do say this, if you love it, a...

I've been completely impressed with what Montblanc is doing, especially the passion going into the design. It's one of the few watch companies where I like just about every new watch they make. That being said, as soon as you go into the realm of any luxu...

Your questions are all valid and doubtless questions we have all considered before. In fact I considered some of them myself when I purchased my Rieussec GMT last December. Visually, I was very impressed with the watch the minute I saw it and was quite su...
