AMVOX I in all "flavors" [question on case thickness]

I am very much hoping Nicolas will chime in on this one, so will try to keep it short and organized.

Since my early days as watch nut, the Polaris has been my ultimo primo grail. Not long ago, I finally managed to try one on my wrist - the original Polaris (not the reedition). The case thickness was a turn-off for me sad

Having read the great in-depth posted by amanico here http://indepth.watchprosite.com/show-nblog.post/ti-403506/ I failed to see any mention of the case thickness of the different flavors. Does this part of the review imply that the 42mm AMVOX 1 cases are also identical in thickness to the (original) Polaris?

Quote Start:
The similarities are simply stunning: same shape of the case, the case back, the lugs, the crowns, same size ( 42mm), even the same unpleasant system for the setting of the date, and the size of the strap!
Quote End

Browsing the listings for sale, I spotted a SS version made exclusively for Aston Martin but without the yellow accents on the dial - is that a mistake, or does such exist?

In summary:

1) What is the case thickness of the various AMVOX1 models?
2) Is there another model which shares similar looks (with or without alarm) which is similar in diameter (42mm) but thinner?
3) the in-depth posted by Nicolas leads me to believe that at time of writing, the "preferred" one was the titanium version? Is that still the case?
4) Assuming budget up to 10k, what recommendation would you give to a fellow member with above considerations in mind?

Thank you for reading and any comments/recommendation you may have!
