MUT Moon 39 Availability
Been searching all over Hong Kong for the JLC MUT Moon-phase 39. None of the ADs had it - well at least not the three I walked into. Finally spied two in the JLC boutique opposite Times Square in Causeway Bay: stainless steel and rose gold models.
The rose gold one seems to be the one to get if affordability is not an issue. Truly a classic design. But HK seems to be watch shopping heaven, so much choice, so many temptations. Pricing doesn't seem to be significantly better than Australia though, in fact depending in the brand/model, list price is actually higher. Of course it all depends on the exchange rate, which at the moment sits at approx AUD1.00=HKD6.90.
What to do, JLC, IWC, VC, or just save my money? It's an interesting holiday dilemma.

that JLC gives you the "best bang-for-the-buck" for an all in-house watch (movement AND case). But tastes run the gamut. Watches are like artwork: "beauty IS in the eyes of the beholder." -Dean

i vote for JLC also… Good choice on Moon Phase 39…..You should look at Reverso also.
