Though I'm not sure whether we have the same understanding of "sports watch" here as I am assuming you have something in mind like a successor the Master Compressor line.

However, if I could wish for someting from JLC it would be a flat, high precision, though rugged daily wearer, with or (even better without) date. It's difficult to beat Nautilus or Royal Oak in their territory, but steel bracelets are not a must have for everyone. That said, PP are so successful with their Aquanaut. Why doesn't JLC capitalize on the thinness of their cal. 899 and come up with an elegant sports watch (water resistant 100m, reasonably sized (39mm max), below 9 mm thickness) on a rubber strap? The idea of the Geophysic pointed in the right direction, but the execution for the regular model seemd to be too "intellectual". VC had the Quai de l'ile, but that was way too big and modified to a more agreeable water resistance only shortly before it was discontinued. GP have a thin movement, but the updated Laureato's proportions do away with the elegance that it stood for when it was originally conceived. Bulgari is doing a great job with their Octo Finissimo, especially since they have increased waterr resistance to 100m, Piaget had a great idea with the Polo S, but the excution left room for improvement regarding design similarities with PP Nautilus. Even Nomos know what they are doing even though on another quality and pricing level... I apologize for going a bit off topic here...

When JLC produced such magic! ...

I love the new Gyrotourbillon...

But no year has delivered such magic like 2007 did. Plus for me personally, the Gyro 1 is the one!

And new Duometres! [nt]

And yes the Gyro 5 is insane, still my heart is with the Gyro 1. It can always change and here’s hoping that JLC have some more magic in development.

Yes, a successor of the Master Compressor, or a resurrection. I totally agree with you, the Geophysic line could have been the perfect choice for an elegant sports watch,

In parallel with a pure tool watch in the Master Compressor series. Good points, 74HK. Best, Nicolas
