Buying my first Jaeger - Reverso Duetto ..
Hello Everyone,
I have my eyes set on the stainless steel Reverso Duetto (ladies size). What's stopping me from an immediate purchase is its need to be manually wound daily. I've been wearing my Rolex Submariner for 3 years now, and am looking for a more delicate time piece where i can wear daily too. Whilst the watch dealer has assured me that the winding mechanism is trustworthy as long as i don't over-do it, i'm still skeptical if it's the ideal 'daily-wear' watch. Will daily winding shorten the life-span of the mechanism ?
What struck me about the Duetto is its versatility - it's understated day face on one side and the silvered guilloche dial enchanced by little diamonds on the other. I've not been able to find another time piece with automatic movement as delicate as this one.
Would appreciate any advise !
