.... catch and gorgeus pics, congratulations!
If I understand, it means that the famous few first "pink' dials in the '68 Polaris re-edition, are closer from the reality that a few wanted to imagine?
What I'd like to know and understand, is the way these vintage dials could turn to pink. Which colour was the original indexes colour?

I indeed saw a very few number of these " non matching Polaris ". Maybe 3. It is interesting because we had a great and captivating debate about the non matching dials when the first Tribute To Polaris 68 came into the market. Here; the TPP 68, to be more...

It's true, very close but not identical

 By: mstanga : August 28th, 2010-12:34
Ciao Nicholas, Thank you for your compliments, I've appreciated a lot You're right the the color of the index of this dial is very close the color of theTribute to Polaris 68, but with some obvious difference: - porosity of the tritium index is unmistakab...

Indeed, Marco, Luminova is always smoother than Tritium

 By: amanico : August 28th, 2010-13:07
And will look less " grained " than Tritium. On the TPP, though, you will wee that it is not too smooth: A bit surprising, isn't it? Agreed on all points, my friend. Nicolas...

Here's the only other one I saw in person

And here is mine, also Calypso-like dial (the minute rail interrups at the date window. In fact this came from Germany a few years ago, and the original owner said that has just been totally refurbished at high-cost in JLC Germany. I know that the luminou...

the sexy appeal of the orange flash!...

 By: MattS : August 29th, 2010-05:14
I love the "orange" indexes, now give it a matching nice leather strap, like the one Nico posted with his caramel leather Nato and you'll have a stunning combo! I don't know if the grail exists but to me this is close to it! Congrats! Matt

very interesting posts...
