Reverso - But which one ?

 By: Cpt Scarlet : January 25th, 2012-02:33
The Jaeger-LeCoutre Reverso is a classic that every collector should own at some stage. I would like to ask for your advice and experiences with this model as so many variations have been issued over the years. If you could chose any model from the past w...

for me is Septantieme...it's just the most beautiful one of them all to me although it is veeery veeery hard to name just one... Best Damjan

If I had the $$$ to, that would be my choice as well.

 By: Ruckdee : January 25th, 2012-03:51
Right now, cronolust, it would be best if you could post a few wrist shots of you wearing different watches. That will help us determine if you can wear all Reverso sizes and, if not, what are the sizes that would suit your wrist and what models are avail...

The list will be too exhaustive, Cronolust.

Do you want a complication, or not? Do you prefer a simpler one? With Date, no Date? Seconds, no Seconds? What case size? What metal? What is your budget? Best, Nicolas

Decisions, decisions ......

 By: Cpt Scarlet : January 25th, 2012-05:50
I think that the GT case would be easy to wear with a shirt cuff but I would like to know what you think. Also, the trend for watch sizes is slimmer and smaller than over the past ten years or so. The case should be rose gold or platinum. I hope that is a...

Complication would be good as would some nice finishing visible to the eye. Budget .... is that a rent -a -car ? I would like to feel that I could ware it without being followed by a Navy Seal team 24/7

So, one is these two is for you.

Reverso Platinum Nr 2 Tourbillon ( on the right ) and skeleton Torubillon ( on your left ). Limited to 500 pieces for the non skeleton, and to 35 pieces for the skeleton. GT case, in both ... cases. Best, Nicolas aka rent a car....

For me the n°2 is OK !

 By: dirost : February 2nd, 2012-14:52
This Reverso n°2 is for me one of the most beautiful Reverso ever made (even THE most beautiful). I love every detail of this watch. it has all that I love in a Reverso : the size, the ruthenium dial, the floral numbers, the fact that no figure is partly ...

I share your enthusiasm on this one.

 By: amanico : February 2nd, 2012-22:41
The good news is that it can be found on the different collectors markets for a way more reasonnable price. It is just a question of time and patience. One of my top five favourite Reverso, for sure. Best, Nicolas

Hi Ken, That sounds like good advice to me. Did you buy it from new at an AD ? Can you post a few more photos of your fantastic watch. The reverse would be good ! Thank you for your post. Cronolust

 By: Cpt Scarlet : January 26th, 2012-04:03
The colour and texture of a strap makes a big difference to the look of most watches but it gives the Reverso a big change of character. I have seen the watch with a dark blue croc strap and it looked superb, especially when you see it with the reverse or...

Every time I see this one .. It's with congrats to the owner !!

If money is not a problem, here's my choice.

 By: jml_watches : January 31st, 2012-14:14
Hi Well if you want a GT case - I don't think you can go far wrong with a Duo. I think it is available is rose gold, its also a nice complication, but doesn't look like it until you flip the case over and see another dial on the reverse side of the case. ...

Sold it to fund several pieces such as the Freak, the MMR Ti, and a few others.

 By: amanico : February 3rd, 2012-06:24
Of course it wasn't enough to fund all of them, but it was a partial solution. Best, Nicolas

Good photo and advice, how long have you owned your Reverso and has it kept good time ? I will post Photos when I have "splashed my cash" Cronolust PS, You have it on your right wrist.

So many choices, but you definitely need to own one.

 By: gup502 : February 10th, 2012-19:20
Reverso comes in many different styles to suit different individuals. You really need to go into a JLC boutique and look at them, try them all and compare. It is a very enjoyable experience! The only problem is one can easily get hooked and wants not one ...
