Smelly Shoe Guard
Quite a few anti-persperant companies sell a spray especially designed for the inside of sneakers to reduce the smell.
It may be worth removing the strap of your JLC. Spraying the underside and seeing how you go.
I've sprayed my leather sneakers before and it did not stain my shoes in any way.
