Magnetization
Yes, magnetization from security scanners and arched body scanner could be the cause, especially if you travel a lot. However, if you do work in any installations made entirely out of metal, for example offshore oil platforms and drilling rigs, or even factory environment (lots of power generators, electric motors, microwave generators) - chances are strong local magnetic fields are getting the better out of your precious ticker. Once, I had mine ticking away faster by a full minute each day!!!
