Soon to be auctioned: Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic, Steel.
This Geophyic is not in top condition... But its Dauphine hands are correct, which is not always known. The dots on the glass ring have disappeared, the dial has suffered a bit. An honest specimen. We'll see if the fever still goes on. But the former exam...
Dial is a bit rough, case and movement look ok, but the real worry
is dealing with that particular auction house! Nowadays they don't particularly have a good reputation when it comes to the watches they sell or how promptly they pay the consigners.
Isn't that like half what other (cleaner) examples fetched earlier
from other auction houses? I seem to recall around $30k as the range.
