It's all about the people...

Mr Lambert has been CEO of JLC for as long as I have had an interest in the brand. And while I have definitely had my grievances with some of the strategies that have been chosen, especially in marketing, I am still in awe of the overall quality and taste shown in their collection.

We all know that the impact of a truly great leader can never be underestimated. I have never met Mr Lambert, nor do I know him personally. But I feel that JLC has been blessed under his direction. I will be lying if I said that I am not worried right now.

I really hope that the new CEO will be able to communicate the passion, feelings, philosophy and also the concerns they have as a manufacture in the future. It would also be really interesting to hear more from the individuals that are working there. There is obviously an abundance of great talent.

Cheers,
Rick

The end of an era...

Just saw the announcement about Jerome Lambert going to Montblanc as of July 1. He has helped JLC skyrocket within the last 13 years, and I wish him well. I do hope Daniel Riedo, who was promoted from within, can take JLC higher and get the marketing firm...

I believe Lambert was a really great CEO for JLC..

Hopefully Riedo will continue in this direction, with respect of the JLC tradition. Best of luck to both.

Allow me to be a bit moderated in my happyness.

First of all, I think it is a good promotion and challenge for Jerome. Jerome is a man of challenges, and this new experience to come is a big one. A good " tremplin " for some higher summits? So yes, I am happy for him, even if each challenge has its par...

From our conversations I do understand you fully Nicolas..

Now, from my perspective, will Mr Lambert step the BIG step and "resurrect" Minerva? I guess time will tell (so cheap, I know) but ...time IS the essence on this forum:):) Cheers, my friend, Francois from Down Under!

Well, it is not a secret that Jerome became a friend, through years.

Hence mmy sadness to see him leaving the JLC boat, to take the helm of Montblanc. But it is an excelletn challenge for him. Which may lead him to know the heights of the Richemont Group. For that, I am happy for him. Best, Nicolas

I too am saddened as the transformation if Jlc was quite extraordinary

If ever one man stamped his personality vigour and dynamism on a company it was Jerome lambert I also feel he needed at least another 5 years to complete the job he started I am not convinced that Mont Blanc is the right company for him but I am convinced...

Well, I feel Montblanc is the right company to reach higher ambitions.

Brands like JLC, PP, AP, VCR, etc., have their products in the pipeline for the next 5- to-10 years. So other strategies will hopefully come to light in other areas (communication, marketing, etc.). -Dean

Hi, Like Nicolas wrote I feel sad because I've known Jerome for nearly 9 years and have always appreciated him, his work and our encounters. His influençe on JLC is huge. Look at the last catalog, compare with a catalog from 10 years ago or more and make ...

Regarding the new ceo, directions, what parts of Lambert's vision/strategy will continue or take a different turn... That sort of boring stuff ;) Should be interesting how the new boss will differ from the previous.

I hope to be able to meet Mr Riedo, one of these days.
