If you have announced that you are going to compete in a new chronometer competition, then you probably plan to make more chronometers -- and not just high end tourbillons?

Speculation...

I am wondering what my fellow forummers think about the previously mentioned tie-in with JLC and The Navy Seals. Do you think we can expect a new diving watch release during SIHH 2009? There seems to have been a lot of talk recently about the old Deep Sea...

you might find answers in ONE (publication of JLC)

Hi, you're right, and your expectations could be in the right line of JLC strategy. let see ONE, the first huge size magazine of JLC, diving watches are in the corepoint of marketing strategy of JLC, aren't they? so, launching a new watch as a tribute to ...

Hi Oliver, I haven't seen this publication, my ruminations are based on items posted here, but now you have me very excited. I would love JLC to release a divers watch with functions the same as Polaris - but not an hommage to a previous model. Cheers Dav...

My Dear David, you don't need an Expert, but a Fortune Teller. :)

I assume that if JLC had a deal with the Navy Seal, this is certainly to conceive and present a watch. But even IF I knew, I couldn't say nothing before...Let's say ... 7 Days? So, the wait will be short, anyway, and the dream may go on. Like you, I'd lov...

I do not necessarily want another LE re-edition as this would go the way of the Polaris, ie; expensive and damned near impossible to get your hands on!! I would like to see a simple divers watch, with date function and alarm in the standard catalogue line...

Well, of course I agree, David

A Diving Tool Watch , I mean simple, sober, and friendly, with a strong look, and cherry on the cake, with an alarm... Damn, I would love that, and hoping to see it coming from JLC. LE or not LE, I really don't care, as, IMO, many watches shouldn't be rel...

OK, my friend...

I will not pursue this further with you as due to the credit crunch I could not possibly afford any legal bills resulting from my badgering of you with regards to information on forthcoming models!! lol Keep the LE's to a minimum though JLC, please. It is...

And my arm is very long, David. LOL

Yes, I would like to see some simple and elegant watches from JLC... A kind of coming back to the roots, and why not a Memovox... Or a new Chronometer. I'm sure that the JLC Team reads our Forum and knows what the Purists Dream of . But first of all, let'...

I agree Nicolas...

I would love to have another diving watch from JLC, especially a "tool watch" with an alarm. I also believe that a "tool watch" even one with an alarm should not be a limited edition. N

JLC already did such a toolwatch, Neil

The Diving GMT, LE in 44mm or non LE in 46 mm, which is not very logical, but, hey, this tool watch already exists. But with an Alarm, this would be the cherry on the cake! Best, my friend. Nicolas

Yes Nicolas...

I want that "cherry on top" since I already own the MC Diver GMT 44. Perhaps something a little smaller, not as high and with sound. Maybe even looking a bit like a vintage diver? One can only hope All the best N

So, the DSA will be the perfect candidate, IMO

Let's hope... Best. Nicolas

Yes hope...

actually buy and wear a "Navy SEAL" watch without being one? Seems a Walter MItty-ish in it's misrepresented machismo. Anyway a "real" SEAL watch is probably a G-Shock. The RAN divers use Mudmen.... (the important people get...Aqualands)

Yes...

 By: nwp627 : January 14th, 2009-17:38
...as long as it is a watch the SEALs could or would use due to its unique properties, and not a watch decorated with surperfluous insignia. As an elite fighting force they use nothing but the best, why shouldn't we? N

In that case...

Agree with Neil

 By: amanico : January 14th, 2009-21:27
IF it is a real tool watch, used but the Navy Seal, and IF it exists, I would go for one. Let's see what the Future will offer... Best. Nicolas

And that is my point...

 By: BDLJ : January 15th, 2009-15:03
Sorry Nicolas, I am not trying to offend, but the REAL tool watch used by SEALs, RAN Clearance Divers etc, is usually a Casio. Dive Supervisors might get an Aqualand. No interest in any of these? I still don't understand the "glory by association" with th...

No problem, BLDJ
