Don’t underestimate sinn

The heritage of the Sinn should not be underestimated or confused with brand recognition.

Sinn may not be as well known as IWC but their heritage certainly isn’t really less then the IWC (when it comes to pilot watches that is).

If memory serves me right both brands were already supplying the German Luftwaffe with Pilot watches early on.

And quality (this is subjective I know) isn’t far apart either.

What appeals to many is the fact that IWC has now produced many many many iterations of basically the old MARK XI pilot watch whilst Sinn has kept it to just a few iterations.

Hence in my view heritage and quality is more of less same. That leaves price, resale value, design and personal preference as deciding factors.
