Like you, I’m not a fan of this so-called NATO strap(by the way I’ve been in active military duty in NATO for total 16 years and I’ve never seen such a strap which now is sold with watches as NATO strap )

Although the new in-house chronographs are smaller in diameter (41mm vs. 43mm), the lug-to-lug lengths are identical at 50mm.
