Very elegant! (Oh, Mr Kern, why did you do so much damage to the brand?) [nt]

Yes kjkt3, things were better under the trinity of Blumlein/Klaus/Habring but kern did make sure IWC survived into this decade. For a large manufacture it is business before heritage and clever enginering now.

For the Ingenieur line most definitly, no salt nor sugar there, but the other 4 families look to be doing alright from my view ? The Pilots are more of a fashion thing as the toolwatch function is less important

is no longer defining the enginering but still good watches imo.

Ron, could you tell me from which year this watch is? It exudes early seventies. Thanks for showing. George

Hello George, it is from 1974 so you are spot on ! It is a ref 3203 or 3070 ( both are used ) and sometimes caled ~International~ model for lack of a name. Togther with the da Vinci line

the first IWC watches to house the Beta 21 movement, the first Swiss collaboration ( CEH ) quartz movement. Smooth running seconds hand and it humms a little like tuning fork movements.
