Music for the eyes... The new Grande&Petite Sonnerie by PHILIPPE DUFOUR

Dear enthusiasts,

german language enthusiasts of high-end pieces by Philippe Dufour may be interested in what is featured in the current issue of CHRONOS (one the leading german watch magazines).
Although there are not much details, it may be interesting enough to share:

The piece pictured in the current CHRONOS issue is somewhat different; the most apparent difference is a new push-piece integrated in the crown.

The function still is the same: in "Grande Sonnerie" every hour the hours are indicated and every 15 minutes the hours and quarter hours. The "Petite Sonnerie" indicates hours and quarter hours, while activating the minute repetition additionally indicates the minutes.
The pusher for this mechanism is located inside the crown and the different functions can be set via a pushpiece under the moveable "officer-style" glass ring, which reminds of ancient savonette pocket watches.

The watch is manufactured in gold and comes with hands which are designed and manufactured by Philippe Dufour himself, made of polished and blued steel.
In order to allow a maximum view on the movement, there are no hour markings on the case, but on the sapphire crystal.

The price is described "on request".

That?s all so far!

Greetings from germany,

Peter
