Peter just sent this over. This is an 18 piece limited edition with a laser etched red gold dial, made for Peter's retailer in Vietnam. The dial motif is inspired by the bronze drums of the Dong Son culture. I like the look though I find the Breguet hands...

When i first saw the piece at a gtg, the moment it was brought out and words uttered was "hey take a look at the Vietnam LE" My first thoughts was..."great, now even PSM watches are being counterfeited!", thats due to the Breguet hands used and the person...

Thanks for the input, the details in the dial with the small pillars and fine detail is not possible to reproduce by hand in the way I was looking to represent the Dong Son drum, only through chemical or lazer etching could I attain this kind of detail. F...

that these moko drums were found in Alor island in Indonesia? It was so prized that it's used as a ceremonial object or dowry. Nobody knows how it ends up in a remote place in Indonesia. Or maybe DHL has been around longer than we know... cen@jkt

all the feedback, I am travelling to asia in July and hope to have an example of the Dong Son with me amongst other examples of my work. We will be in Singapore, HK, KL, Vietnam, Tokyo as well as a jump to Shanghai. Later in the year probably in October t...
