And as it turns out it might be a very expensive dinner for me. Very taken with the Spirit Mk II. Sigh... Never look at watches in real life. Ever. Nor try on watches. It makes you want to spend money you've yet to make...

I had the pleasure and the honour of attending the Peter-Speake Marin dinner in Sydney, hosted at The Dining Room, Park Hyatt by Speake-Marin and Swiss Time Machine (our Perth AD for PSM). The amazing food, the company of a great group of watch collector ...

Yes it was great fun! Thanks for looking!

Haven't seen the Spirit, and it's a nice surprise! Love the lume on it.

Thanks for the report!

So you could have the ability to see the new black DLC Spirit Pioneer! I hope to come back to it in a review. Fx

I was mesmerised by it!

The black case and and lume dial work perfectly together. Thanks for looking!

Ach - the amazing food!

Perhaps you can describe what had so astounded you. PSM is a solid representation of what independent watchmaking can offer us - even with no drinks and an empty plate. amerix

Of course!

The Piccadilly case is one of the most distinctive watch case designs, not to mention the foundation hands. I like how both the 38mm and the 42mm give the watch a slightly different look (38mm a bit more dressy). The enamel dials on Peter's watches are to...

I really like Resilience...

in my collection too! Peter really knows how to make modern classics. I think you know this old man's wrist. I will bring it to Tokyo if I ever get the time! Glad you got to spend time with Peter and his watches, it really doesn't get any better than that...

Hey Tim!

Looks great. Just great! Just my type and style..... A bit thick, no? Hope Peter is reading this and think of coming to Tokyo one day! Ken

It was a great night!

I think he visited Japan few times? Being such a huge market for indies i doubt he would miss it. The special made camo nato strap for the DLC pilot is interesting. Would be nice to include in the package as a second strap, so fitting.

Not that I am aware of....

... but then again, I have been back here just 3 years... :-) I have never seen anyone wearing PSM around me.... Should fit the favorite around here, though..... I would be more than happy to meet him here! Ken

That is the risk of going to watch-related dinners :)

But great to catch up with all of you that evening! The DLC is still lingering in my mind too... I'm looking forward to see what Peter have in store for us next year in the form of Mk III...

Thanks Sidney for recording the event

It was a great evening. Too tempting though! My favourites were the Resilience and the SS Spirt Mk 2 with the tan calf strap.

The tan calf strap one look good on you!

I'm still surprised how the 42mm look smaller than it is!

Thanks Sidney

I was quite taken with on the tan strap on the Spirit Mk2 Sizes can be sometimes misleading and watches on the wrist can look bigger or smaller than they actually are. It goes to show that you have to put a watch on your wrist to get the feeling for how i...
