A night with men on the moon...

May 16, 2012,00:28 AM

So I get a call from a fellow Purist.

"Are you in Hong Kong and are you wearing your Sarpaneva?  You have to come to dinner tonight with your Sarpaneva".

So off I go to dinner with my Sarpaneva...

... only to find that I was hanging out with Max.

Thanks for the entertaining night, Max.

Managed to meet Max through Darren Tan at his Perth store. It was an honour to meet Max, who is one of the most down to earth, open and genuine persons I have met. I'm relatively new to this horological world but the bug has certainly bitten... Cheers, Ma...

Pleased to have a 'local' on board. What were your overall impressions of the LM1? Max is certainly a charmer, and loves to meet collectors and customers alike. He is also happy to talk about horology and the industry and is a great font of wisdom and ins...

Hi Andrew, The LM1 is a remarkable piece. The floating balance wheel and vertical power reserve is just stunning. As one of Max's more "practical" creations, its no wonder there is a waiting list years long. It was a real delight to meet Max and certainly...
