Thats the problem Ken...
Come out with a great product like the original Ferrari and then you buy the titanium version for example which is an amazing watch and on the understanding it was a special model for the partnership, however make some minor changes and edition after edition can be released like this new one... Does it make the original one so unique now?
I am one of the biggest fan of Hublot but am also critical of things like this. I actually liked the new LaFerrari on the wrist and its amazing inside... However where I would have jumped to buy one in the past, why would I buy one now for the uniqueness? Based on what is happening, I am sure there will be a ceramic or other new alloy version will be out in the next year so what was an edition of 50 pieces in the world could now be several editions of a couple of hundred out there. Ok still a small number but after spending the cost of a Ferrari on a watch a little disappointing?
It is demonstrated with other masterpiece editions, I almost bought the MP02 Key of Time as it was a unique LE from the Masterpiece collection, I am SO glad I didnt as what was released at Basel this year... 2 new Keys of Time models in King Gold and Titanium!
Cheers
Andrew
