Hublot

Hublonium

is an alloy, as I understand it, of magnesium and aluminum, which are both quite soft metals, and a hardening agent called Titanex, which makes the alloy called AG5 (aka Hublonium).

Obviously, what it brings to the watch world is super light weight and good hardness in the same package.

The first mag bangs used Hublonium as the material of the movement.

Subsequent versions use titanium as the movement plates. It's superior strength and light weight make it a good movement material, but it's also extremely difficult to tool and work with.
