If you really like a watch, try to buy that model and not a cheaper alternative.
In my opinion, this would be more expensive otherwise because it is emotionally always only the second choice. And at some point you might sell it again.
I have faced situations like this several times before (in my financial development phase π) where I simply couldn't afford a watch that I really (!) wanted. After a few experiences where I had bought something else, regretted the purchase and - at the end of the day - lost money, I havenβt bought a less loved, cheaper alternative anymore but simply waited or, in some cases, sold other watches in order to finance my real grail watch.
