Just so you guys know...

I was told that the dials (and possibly other components) will be altered slightly in the production piece, taking into consideration retailers' and collectors' feedback during Baselworld.

I do like this date placement smile

Something I like in the new Big Bang...

I really like the details on their dials... By the way, who could have the idea to put the date window inside the minute counter subdial? I think it is a good way to keep it discreet. Best. Fx This message has been edited by KIH on 2013-07-07 08:52:28 ...

Good point, FX....

... I didn't notice from the release photo, but you are right, it is a brilliant idea to put the date window there. I can't wait to see the new Big Bang in person! Thank you, FX! Ken

It is the Ferrari trick...

But with a different window! And here is the "classic display" with the Classic Aero chrongraph: Thanks Ken. Fx ...

Now I remember...

.. anyway, pretty ingenious! Ken

I wonder if it would look better if only the "29" is shown

rather than cutting out the subdial to still display "28" and "30". May make the watch a little more clean and easier to read IMO. - AT

It could, Anthony...

.. but the attached arch or round curve may be something futuristic shape and more consistent with other element of the design.... Just IMVHO! Fun to discuss this or that like this :-) Ken

Many brands do this and I don't know why...except

the watches with luminous date display often 'expose' the next date coming up so it is 'charged' when it is time for it to shine. That seems a fair reason but then the exposure of the date already gone by (yesterday) does not make sense. If the wearer can...

I agree with you...

...the date is placed very discreet. But unfortunately there is no way to read the chrono minutes from 13...17. In my eyes there is to much focus on layout instead of function. On last years Ferrari Big Bang there were small indices and everything was ok....
