What's involved with taking my watch collection to France as I relocate?
The wheels are in motion to move from California to France, but need to firmly have a plan to avoid customs/duty issues with taking my watches with me. Not a 100K+ collection, but decent value. Am currently in the process of putting together a spreadsheet with pix, watch info, purchase dates, prices paid, etc. so given that there are a few overseas folks here, hoping to get some suggestions.

I would be surprised if customs duties are charged on personal property associated with relocating . I assume the relocation would require obtaining a residency permit. Property associated with a business might be subject to different rules.
