Longines Big Weems Ref 4356. A big dream.
I have a few Grails to get, and among them, three vintage Longines.
The Big Weems from the 40's is one of them. I missed several opportunities to get one, and it is one my my biggest regrets.
This Weems is big, with a 46, 5 mm case, but perfect on my wrist.
Some of them have a militery background. Did you know that some Japanese Pilots had one?

Or another one, in Paris, also... Which was... NOS ( !!!! ) and... Full Set!
When I think that I missed both of them!!!

Spectacular piece I didn’t know.
The two crown designs are very interesting. The full set is stunning. The original strap is super cool. I love your posts of these rare treasures.
I have been in love with this since 1993 ...
Always wanted one but held back on re editions . Last I was offered Gassan edition in blue and that too watch 1/20 or 1/30 or something. Thanks for sharing and you have posted a rare bird . Thanks !
My opinion
I seen many watches, and i can say that the Weems is the most beautifull watch. Not the most expensive, it is no Jacob&co or Pattek. Longines made icons, and affordable for watch enthousiasts from every backgronds. The vintage Weems watches are good colle...

I looked at one some years ago but it wasn’t in the condition that I was looking for.

Would be great to own for what it is, but it would also be great to have one with a great patina.
NOS is impossible to find. We are speaking of a 80 years old watch, here.
And the patina on an enamel dial is very relative. The NOS: Even the original strap and buckle was there. ...
