Satisfactory Longines service
Jan 02, 2018,14:13 PM
Here's some good news.
Bought a Longines retrograde (possibly a returned watch) from Hour Passion in the 2016 December sale. To my horror, the watch ran 10 sec/day fast. Then, I noticed the hour and minute hands were out of alignment.
Finally, I returned the watch for remedial work. After ordering parts from Switzerland, the service center returned the watch in 2 months. I was shown the results of the timing and water-resistant test by Swatch.
Hour Passion threw in a free watch-case and a fresh warranty. Kudos for Longines and Swatch.
Today, Longines makes mass manufactured products. QC is unspectacular. However, they get a passing grade when they stand behind their products 100%.
Phew

Report on timing accuracy

I picked the Longines retrograde's set of complications because IMO it is the most practical for a travel watch. The dual time offers easy access to a second time zone. And, sometimes I can get groggy on a strenuous travel itinerary. What's the day and da...
