Austen would recognise the backlash he would receive for creating his own business, and the brands are equally aware of the influence that comes with it.
I am curious to understand what offends you for someone that’s passionate about watches, and has he played foul? If you were in his position, what would you have done differently?
Hello Watchprosite members, Recently a “brand new pre-owned” (pun intended) experience: Grand opening of our member horoloupe’s wristcheck physical store at Landmark (the prime shopping center in Hong Kong) !
When we took a wrist shot together, horoloupe, whom I dub as THE AP King but perhaps should be THE AP Prince because he is so young (mid 20s), and I had a show down of my 5131G vs his 15020PT green dial. I prefer my 5131G because of the manual work involv...

Taking pieces at retail and sell them for a premium at its same store, but different section. With the star power, he can get any piece desired, then sell some…well at least it’s open and transparent 😬

I know he is a Big collector, so influential, young and successful…good for him. If none of those are his personal watches, then I apologize. Congratulations to him for his success. This is big money and good business now, understandable. Then…May I know ...
These watches are mostly
consignment pieces. Perhaps some were purchased using the company’s own funds, similar to watchbox ? Some of his watches are on display but not for sale.
The 5990/1R on the big iPhone screen is a consignment....such a new release, not his watch I know...
I don't know how to put it, Gordon, but I wasn't born yesterday ) It's just another business and I think AP, PP will look very closely for watches that goes thru the store.

I only said it feels weird, not right or wrong....and I don't think I get offended, too many other things to worry than these small things.
Gordon opened a forum here for discussion and I provided my opinion. If NONE of the watches belong to him, then I respect him, bravo. Some of the pieces are super sought after and very new, which means he provided a venue for flippers to flourish. Oh plea...
