Writing from Spain but as far as I know this is for all eurozone countries, if the watch is coming from outside of Europe they would have to pay a customs duty which in Spain along with expenses etc comes to about 22.5%, in Denmark taxes are high so they ... 

They can both bring home ( from US to Denmark ) goods with a value up to 463 USD ( not pr. items but total of all items ). Tax in Denmark is 25%
