Horological Meandering

Nothing new under the sun - night legible jumping hour Starwheel? Already offered by 17th century Roman clockmakers ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

During a recent trip to Dubrovnik I had a chance to visit one of the cityโ€™s museums and was actually quite surprised by the horological gems contained (in clock, rather than watch form).

First and foremost a Roman Starwheel clock, with semi-transparent hour discs, allowing for the candle placed into the interior of the clock to illuminate it at night.

Need to research it more at some point but definitely nice seeing how much before any of the currently touted old Maisons such complications were already made by clockmakers I have never even heard of ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
