Horological Meandering

Words in Favor

Most PuristS have a wide aperture in our love of watches, a lens wider than the highly respectable, albeit incomplete, blogs listed on this, "ground zero center for watch purists." So liking B&R is certainly allowed. As a lifelong military aviator, the bond with B&R is instantaneous--centered for me on their square Instrument Watch (the basic watch, not the chrono or other variants)--which is directly inspired as homage to the instrument clock on nearly every aircraft instrument panel of the past century. I own one (in monochromatic SS with black & white dial/hands combo), love to wear it when moving among fellow aviators. And, like you, I covet one of their Heritage Collection watches. As for price, they are indeed a tad overpriced, but this drawback can be overcome by a pre-owned found with clear, single-owner provenance at a decent price fraction, usually within a year of original purchase. Pay close attention to condition though on a resale. With diligence, Mints can be found readily.
