The new Z2 Diver Chronograph from Harry Winston is a real deception for me.
The first time I saw it, it has reminded me the first ocean chronograph produced by Harry Winston, model which was not very inspired in my opinion.
This impression came to me because of the bezel which is very massive.
Moreover, still in my opinion, the chronograph is very useless for a strict diving use, it is for me just a superposition of many complications without a lot of style.
The superposition of the platinum and the zalium is also not very stylished because of the universe which are very different in both metals.
Instead of that, the hands are very beautiful, as the visual separation of the chronograph counters, but the dial is too much complicated, the date is superfluous, and the shurinken very "baroque", as we say in french. It is too bad because all of these things "hide" the real originality and style created by the hands and the separate counters.
Harry Winston has made this complicated watch while forgetting interesting complications like the indicator of the end of the barrel that is on the excenter tourbillon, something that is really more stylished...
To finish, I'm really very afraid because the configuration of the dial, with the seconds at 3, make me think that the basic movement is a ETA 2894-2, a litte bit cheap for a Harry Winston watch, don't you think, but I'm not sure and I hope that I am wrong, Aseanto please ?
It is just my opinion and just a matter of taste, but I really want to know what do you think of my thought ?
Best Regards
