Production numbers from Mr Max Busser
I have recieved a terrifically enlightening and transparent response from Mr Max Busser yesterday.
Here it is verbatim:
Hi Bernard,
We will manufacture this year approx.2850 watches, up from 2550 watches last year.
The largest run we have done of ONE specific reference is 60 to 65 pieces in a year (here I speak of a specific dial or diamond setting).
Concerning limited editions, and excepting OPUS series, we did in 2003:
Premier perpetual timezone 45 pieces in rose gold, 45 pieces white gold, 5 pieces white gold diamonds, and 5 pieces white gold baguette diamonds. A total of 100 movements. We have not yet finished delivering all of them. The last pieces should be issued by June this year 2004.
And previously :
Premier Perpetual Chronograph 100 pieces in platinum, which are being delivered over three years! Between 2001 to 2004.
Premier Biretrosecond 100 pieces in platinum, which are being delivered between 2000 and 2004.
Premier Biretrograde Perpetual Calendar with black dial and leap year featured with a hand : 25 pieces in platinum between 2002 and 2003.
Ocean automatic 100 pieces in platinum between 2000 and 2003.
Ocean Chronograph 200 pieces in platinum started delivery in 2001, last piece to be delivered 2005.
Ocean Split Second Chronograph 25 pieces in platinum, 2002 to 2003.
