This area of history is not my strong point, but I do know that there was a Soviet unit dedicated to identifying and securing German 'reparations'. Lots of industry was methodically moved back to Russia. Also lots of artworks and libraries.
For example, I know the Soviets also moved the Zeiss optics factory in Jena to Leningrad, locks stock and barrel. They even took the Zeiss technicians... who were not allowed to return home until the Leningrad factory (LOMO) was producing optics equal in quality to what the Germans had been producing. They didn't get back to Germany until 1953 or 1954!
