Glashütte Original

Excellent review!

The photography is wonderful and the review is wonderfully thorough. Thank you for posting! A few comments:

The evolution of the microadjust clasp is indicative of Glashutte's eye for perfecting the wearing experience. The dial is remarkable because it displays said much information while remaining legible and well balanced. The use of the expanded window to show the elapsed hours in place of a third subdial is clever. The aesthetics of the dial are improved and a trendy fashion element is successfully incorporated without exposing the wearer to the expanded date window disease.

The decision to adorn the Senator Chronograph with the same level of movement finishing makes sense from a sales standpoint. Given their respective price points, for every person dissuaded from buying the Senator Chronograph (cross-shopping in that price range) due to the level of movement finishing, there may be seven people persuaded to buy the Seventies Chronograph because (nearly) the exact same movement is used in a far pricier watch. It highlights the massive value delivered by the Seventies Chronograph. The Panomatic Counter and Panograph scratch the itch for those who prioritize an elaborately finished chronograph movement cased in steel or gold, respectively.
