Friends,
One interesting museum piece got to see was this one: a Pocket Watch from circa 1830.
On the dial side it has a jumping hour window and a wheel minute display. The dial itself has a very nice guilloche pattern.
The case back has a floral decoration in black champlevé enamel art work.
The pocket watch is made by Moynier, one of the associate to Bautte and Moulinié.
The movement is a cylinder movement with key-wind and key-set.
The movement is undecorated, no misplaced holes, no tool marks….
This watchmaker really knew what he was doing!
