Girard Perregaux 47990 'tenure celebration watch' as gifted by Fiat to long standing employees
I don't think the forum has seen a 47990 reference before. Here's my 47990 which bears a double GP signature and no company engravings! More than half the 47990's I see on the market were commissioned by Fiat for employees, so when I saw this 'untouched' one I knew I had to have it.
Papers are in Italian, as it is the case with most of 47990's on the market.
I have noticed a couple of differences between the Fiat commissioned 47990 vs the 'regular' 47990;
1. GP logomark/monogram is not included in the ones made for Fiat
2. Non-Fiat 47990's do not have hallmarks on the caseback while Fiat ones do
Anyone else know any interesting factoids about this piece?
