We all know the love and care that went into making the Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 case.
The curved case and crystal, the lovely lugs….
While the case is a feast in Art Deco, at first glance the dial tells a “less is more” story.
But if you stop for a second and have a closer look you may see all the details and how well balanced the dial is!
The vertical brushed pattern, the minute track, the applied numerals….
But for me the coolest detail is the sub-second dial that is lowered into the dial which really shows how curved the dial really is!
The circular pattern on the sub-dial and the red “60” is just the cherry on the cake…
