G'day,

back then, the Vintage1945 line had less models than today. For mainly aesthetic reasons, all watches were engraved "2599" then. The full reference code started with 25990 yet, followed by numerals to indicate case material, dial colour and material of strap/bracelet. There´s not been a reference 2599xx (with xx to be replaced by numerals), hence "2599" became an usual abbreviation.
Nonetheless, there are a few small series and special editions featuring some slight variations, such as a transparent crystal back. But these are easy to spot from the back!

Hello Peter, Thanks for your quick respons, I understand that the watches which are displayed in the yearbook 2000/2001 are the same, that would correspond with the fact that the black dial of the watch I'm considering to buy is displayed in the yearbook ...
