I am curious if GP produces the movements for the Opera 1,2, & 3 in-house or if an outside source such as Christophe Claret produces them? Thanks for the information! Best, Mike

I presume that GP is producing the Opera movements in house... I have seen, when visiting the manufacture, at the "atelier grandes complications" at the upper floor of the main GP building under the roof, the production of several tourbillon and grandes c...

Thank you for the information...

I bet it was incredible to see the ultra complicated movements GP was working on at their atelier. Is this the top floor of the blue colored factory? Best, Mike

I believe Christophe Claret produces them

I may be wrong, but recall reading this a few years ago. If they do not currently produce them for GP, then they were somehow involved in the design of the complications.

Thank you both for the information...

The report on the GP Manufactory was great! I too believe that Christophe Claret was involved. He is a master of grande complications. Best, Mike

Hi, The Opera calibres were created in collaboration with Christophe Claret who produces them for Girard-Perregaux. Girard-Perregaux does the servicing in-house so that may be the reason if someone saw one at GP. Cheers Dje

Thanks Dje, I too was thinking that...

Christophe Claret designed and manufactured the Opera movements for GP. Are there any of the high complication movements that GP has created completely in-house? Best, Mike
