Remontoir Generations
A favorite thread of mine is one written by Felipe in which he categorizes the Remontoir into what he calls "generations". Recently at a dinner we had the opportunity to compare a "2nd Generation" with a "3rd Generation".
A new subtle difference that was noticed was the size of the jewels on the back. 3rd Generation were larger than the 2nd. I've attached a photo of a Remontoir from 2001 which I would classify as 3rd Generation. I good way to judge the size of the jewels is look at the one on the left just above the OM in Chronometer. Hopefully others can post some photos and see if we can conclude if this is indeed a difference in Generations. This is just another subtle detail that makes all our FPJ's so very unique.
Notice the jewels on the back of the Remontoir d'Egalite from 2001. Case number less than 100. Hopefully others can post photo's soon to compare.
