I'm considering a Journe Octa RDM as an anniversary present from my wife to me (funny how that works, huh?...I'm considering the present she's going to get for me...). First, an important point...I always strive to buy keepers. The revolving door of watch collecting is just not for me (though I surely can see how it would be much fun). Let's just say--and perhaps it's apropos in the context of an anniversary present--that when it comes to watch collecting, I mate for life...though I surely hope to become a monumental bigamist
So...it's important that I make the right decision here...
What are your thoughts on the following:
(1) Do you believe that the Journe designs, in particular the Octa RDM, will stand the test of time?
(2) I know I shouldn't be asking this because I should be buying with my heart and not my head (and I will!), but what is the most versatile color combination of the Octa RDM?
(3) Can anyone share any real pictures of the platinum, silver dial Octa RDM?
Any other words of wisdom?
Thanks very much,
John
