... so I really love my Centigraphe, which I personally consider one of the big three modern simple manual-wind chronographs. The other ones being of course the Dato and the 5170/-72.
But my next Journe buy would be a CO as well.

We’ve seen quite a few Journe movement photos recently.

One that hasn’t gotten much showtime is the Centigraphe. Here are a few I took before letting mine go. I loved this watch but sold it to fund the Optimum. All Edward McQuillen’s fault.😉 No regrets! ...
Great reminder

You have a very valid point about the Centigraphe not getting enough attention here. It’s a fascinating piece with a very unusual interpretation of a Chronograph. The history and it’s connection to F1 is super cool and adds both to its validity and charm....
The Black Label is a very cool version.

And yes, the massive plates cover some of what makes a chronograph movement something special to look at. But still...all that RG staring back at you when you flip it over! It's great watch. The Optimum is greater.
Agreed, Mike

“All that RG staring back at you..” it looks beautiful. The BL, I still have doubts, if I made a mistake not getting it.... Optimum is still top of my list right.
Here’s mine

I am really beginning to love this one

The Centigraphe makes so much sense in the sport case. It is raw and original and fun and sporty. And still a versatile piece with the dark titanium and the bracelet.
An under appreciated Journe it seems. BUT...

...your trade and reason for letting it go is without question. The Optimum is an important piece of the Journe line it; it’s the watch that FP wanted to make for himself. And yours, the case and dial combination, is a stunningly beautiful watch. In a way...
Thanks, Jay.

I think we agree the Centigraphe is an incredible achievement, although it might be overkill in what it can do. The Optimum is all about chronometry; Journe's specialty.
Both great watches...

could never understand why such a unique movement as the centi was not more visible?
Wish we knew!

And wish Journe would redesign it??
The Centigraphe just never grabbed me...

I've always viewed the Centigraphe as having the least appealing movement in the Journe catalogue of manual wind watches. I can look at the Optimum all day, but the Centigraphe has always struggled to grab my attention...

I love how the case and the bridges come together in all that loveliness!
