Yellow or rose gold?
~ Not many models carry a yellow gold jacket form the Glashütte finest A. Lange and sons.
A historic material mentioned by Wilhelm Schmid in the latest HSNY talk as a material they keep produce in certain models and to a limited extent.
Maybe rose gold and white gold would be the more popular chioce these days.

Yellow gold will have a come back at some point imho.
It‘s much more difficult to create a good looking yellow gold watch compared to rose/red gold, though.

I have heard people talk about that come back, maybe amplified by the "neo-vintage-movement" How would you say it is a challenge to make a good looking YG watch compared to RG or WG?
Imho, WG and RG are more restrained materials and easier to combine with different colours. YG is more loud in itself and doesn‘t work with that many other colours.
Because of that, YG can look tacky more easily, if not done right. But your ALS is an example of YG done right. It‘s not a big watch, it’s classy and it‘s got a silver/white dial. Everything works well together.

I can see where you are getting at. Side note: but for this particular model to come back, it seems both YG and Lange watches in general must reach a higher recognition. The latter taken some loss of momentum ATM.

Must admit I have not researched into how Lange are changing their market strategy. Care to follow up on this with a source or two?
I generally prefer YG to RG, especially with Lange.

For that information. I did not notice this until now. Maybe they want to make the Lange 1 YG more iconic. After all, it is really the cornerstone IMO in their collection dating back to 1994. Love the 112.021 on first picture!
