Hello,
I have a 2000 Chronometer Royal (model 47022, caliber 1126 - based on the JLC 889), and am having difficulties keeping it wound on a customized Eilux cubic winder. The 1126 is listed in the Orbita.net database as requiring 650-900 turns per day (TPD) in the alternating (clockwise/counterclockwise) mode. The winder is programmable, so I started with 720 TPD and alternating mode, but could not keep the watch going for more than a day; then went to 900 TPD, with the same result. I tried both positions for the winder - the first with the face of the watch perpendicular to the plane of the table on which the winder is sitting, the second at a 45 degree angle. The winding program is a standard 4-hour one, with 24 minutes of winding repeated every 4 hours. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
GG
P.S. I'd contribute a picture of the Royal to the photo gallery, but the "insert object" feature does not let me upload the selected file - not a particularly successful day, I guess...
