About ten days ago I dropped off my 2001 Yachtie for a full service.
For years this was my daily-driver/beater and I pretty much thrashed it (as you can see.)
Rolex is doing a full service on the piece, including cosmetic re-finishing (sorely needed)
. Gold is a soft metal, and scratches rather easily.
Anywho-- they said it will take about 3 weeks to finish the piece. I say fine, then set my calendar for 3 weeks (April 9).
Yesterday a buddy calls and says Rolex will be SHUTTING THE BEVERLY HILLS SERVICE CENTER......this after being here for YEARS.
What day are they shutting the building? ..........APRIL 9
...the day my watch is finished.
Weird

Does anyone have any clue as to why they would shut one of their 3
service centers? They have Dallas, NYC, and (for a week longer) Beverly
Hills......
For those of you that have done this service, were you happy with the results?
From everyone I speak with, they say Rolex sends you the watch back looking brand-new.
Please let me know what your experiences were , or if you have any idea as to why they would shut their service center???
Thanks!
Ian
