What to do?
I know what the answer to this question is, but I am looking for some perspective. I have the opportunity to trade
my AP RO chronograph and Edward Piguet chronograph, towards a Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre a Chronographe.
I don't know where Jaeger falls on the scale of, 'what's the best watch'. I feel that a lot of these ratings are subjective,
but do serve as a jumping off point. I also must say that I am retired and rarely wear either of these items and I have
a number of other watches. I am trying to cull down my collection and get something new in the process.
Thanx in advance for your opinions, Jeff

Jeff, You are talking about trading a conservatively sized sport chrongraph (12-hours) with a fine but outsourced movement and a small, dressy chronograph (12 hours) for a large, state of the art , casually elegant chronograph with an in-house movement th...

Thanks Park, I appreciate your comments and say that I also have an IWC Aquatimer @ 42 mm and find that it fits quite nicely on my 6-3/4" wrist. I think the design of the Jaeger is truly breath taking, but hate to give up the AP RO. I have done a lot of h...

...but I prefer the 15202 or 15300. I just like the clean look of that tapisserie dial without the subdials of a chronograph a bit better. Between keeping your two APs and buying the Duometre, I'd go for the JLC. The Duometre is such a compelling piece on...
What about this? :)

One of the most beautiful (to me) watches out there. Very heavy but, like everything else that is "important" in life. And you can use it as an amusement, just take a loupe and you can stare at the movement for hours and hours. Cheers, Bro. June is coming...
Tough choice.

I love the Duometre, that's a fact but, I wouldn't let the RO Chrono go. This is a very personal choice, if the RO and the EP are rarely worn, and the Duometre is going to get much more wrist time, go for it. Vte
