What happened to the 324 movement?

 

I read a local magazine recently and they mentioned that production volume of 324 is still small. It is only being used in 5135, 5296, 5396, and 5350. According to the article, their testings showed that 324 is better than 315 (well... it should, right?)

I remember the people were talking about how the 324 was going to replace 315 as the mainstream PP movement. It has been a few years but PP is still introducing new model with 315 (instead of 324). e.g. 5711. Why?

Any comment?

p.s.: without that article, I almost forgot PP had introduced 324 for a few years. FYI, 324 was introduced in 2004.
