Questions on PP annual calendar

Dear All,

I am a new member here, and has a few questions on my two annual calendar (5135G and 5396G).
1. I notice that during the change of date in mid night, it will partially overshoot and then turn back to the right date with a click at the time of around 1:30.
For example, when the date changes from "21"to "22", it will overshoot to nearly midway between "22" and "23" from the time of  0:00 to 1:00, before it finally goes back to "22" with a click at the time of 01:30.
This happens to both of my annual calendar in exactly the same way.
Is it normal?

2. I understand that most PP movements do not have hacking of second while pulling out the crown to the time setting position.
But when I turn minute hand in anticlockwise direction (which is allowed according to the manual), the sweeping second hand will be stopped (and actually the movement will be stopped) despite the movement has been fully winded. The second hand will be moving again when the minute hand is turned in clockwise direction.
Is it normal?

Many thanks for the advice from all fellow members!

Best regards

Henry
